WELCOME!

This is the official website of Rear Admiral Jeremiah Andrew Denton, a Vietnam POW, former U.S. Senator from Alabama (R), and Founder and President of the Admiral Jeremiah Denton Foundation. Admiral Denton is presently living in Williamsburg, Virginia with his son Bill Denton. His wife Mrs. Kathryn Jane Maury Denton passed away on the afternoon of Thanksgiving Day 2007.

As of now Admiral Denton is busy writing a book on The Cold War and National Survival. It covers the period beginning with World War II and ending with some discussion of post-Cold War events including Al Qaeda. It involves a narration of some of his experiences and observations regarding national security and changes in our culture over that timeframe, as he served our country from 1941 when he enlisted in the Navy a few days after Pearl Harbor and ended up serving through the Cold War in the Navy until 1977, then as Chairman of the Presidential Commission on Merchant Marine and Defense, then with his foundation.

The book was proposed as a joint project by his talented and patriotic co-author, Scott Catino, a Fulbright Scholar and lecturer now in the Mideast. He is married to Lisa whose mother, Stella Dorn, runs the Annual International Festival in Mobile and whose husband, Chuck, is a friend and distant relative of Admiral Denton.

The book is almost finished, and they are hoping to publish it this year. The preview of the book will be posted here soon. Some prominent and respected authors and historians have reviewed some of their chapters already, and their comments have been helpful and encouraging.

Please enjoy your visit and hope you will come by again soon.
